French champions, Paris Saint-Germain have accepted Saudi pro-league club, Al Hilal’s world-record offer of £259 million for forward, Kylian Mbappe, Sky Sports reports.
Neymar’s £200 million move from Barcelona to PSG in 2017 is the current record.
Mbappe, 24, is in the last year of his contract at PSG and has refused to renew.
New club boss, Luis Enrique dropped the player from the team’s pre-season tour of Japan amid the contract uncertainty.
The French giants want to sell the forward now rather than see him leave for free next summer.
He has been attracting interest from Europe’s elite clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Inter Milan and Barcelona, although Real Madrid are touted as favourites for his signature.
PSG have now given Al Hilal permission to speak to Mbappe, per Sky Sports.
If successful, Al Hilal’s bid will see Mbappe play in Saudi Arabia for two seasons, with the possibility of leaving after one year but only to Real Madrid, it was learnt.
