Simon Lalong has tendered his resignation as Minister of Labour and Employment, The Herald reports.
Lalong submitted his resignation letter at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday. His resignation is for him to resume as the senator representing Plateau South Senatorial district.
Recall, that Lalong a few days ago, stated he was conflicted about remaining as a Minister or accepting his elected position as the Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District.
Lalong is the immediate-past governor of Plateau State. He once served as the speaker of the state House of Assembly.
He served as the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign in the February election that brought President Bola Tinubu to office.
