Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe’s appointment as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has been terminated.
The University’s Governing Council announced Ogundipe’s sack on Wednesday shortly after a meeting with the council members.
Seven members voted for his removal while four voted against the decision to remove him, urging their counterparts to suspend him, The Punch reports.
The sacked Vice-Chancellor is yet to confirm or refute his sack at the time of filing this report. All efforts to reach Ogundipe have proved abortive as he neither answered his calls nor respond to messages.
