Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, are currently at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Herald reports that the two politicians were sighted shaking hands upon meeting.
Other state governors headed to attend the closed-door meeting include Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Dapo Abiodun- (Ogun), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), ABDULLAHI Abba (Kano), Bassey Ottu (Cross River).
The duo meeting comes amid reports of an impeachment threat against the governor.
They reportedly fell out less than six months after Fubara’s inauguration.
They have been in the news since the Rivers State House of Assembly began impeachment proceedings against the governor.
The Herald recalls that on Monday, Fubara stormed the assembly complex with his loyalists to prevent the lawmakers from carrying out their plan.
