Former President of Ghana, Jerry Rawlings has died.
He died of suspected COVID-19 complications at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana on Thursday morning.
Rawlings was aged 73.
The former military ruler was in power from 1981 to 2001.
He held sway as military ruler from 1981 to 1992 before serving as elected President for two terms from 1993 to 2001.
