The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has declared President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba and other leaders of the union wanted over the warning strike embarked upon in the state.
Recall that the state was paralysed on Monday when the four-day warning strike embarked upon by the union to protest mass sack of workers and other alleged anti-labour moves by the government commenced.
Speaking during the protest on Monday, Wabba warned that the union would not back down unless the El-Rufai-led administration attended to the workers’ grievances.
But in a tweet on Tuesday morning via his verified Twitter handle, the governor accused the NLC leadership of ‘economic sabotage & attacks on public infrastructure under Miscellaneous Offences Act’.
