The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is presently questioning the immediate-past Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed.
He was allegedly brought in for questioning over allegations that his administration diverted the state’s resources to the tune of N9 billion.
It was learnt that the ex-governor was invited to the Jabi, Abuja headquarters of the anti-graft agency to answer to the allegation.
He reportedly arrived the EFCC office at 10 am and was questioned for more than seven hours.

Besides the alleged diversion during his administration between 2011 and 2019, Ahmed was said to have also been questioned for his role as Commissioner for Finance in the administration of Bukola Saraki, his predecessor.
Spokesman of EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren confirmed that the ex-governor was in the commission’s office to respond to an invitation.
However, he declined further comments.
