Ola and Abel Osundairo, the Nigerian-American brothers involved in an alleged attack on actor Jussie Smollett are filing a defamation suit against his lawyers, Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian.
Smollett was said to have paid the Osundairos to stage a hate crime in January. He was charged, but Cook County prosecutors subsequently dropped the charges.
The brothers have confessed to taking part in the hoax but said they apologized and only did so because Smollett paid them.

According to the lawsuit, Geragos and Glandian are accused of making false statements about them after the charges were dropped against Smollett.
The lawyers reportedly insinuated that Ola Osundairo is gay, which he said puts him and his family in Nigeria in danger, since the African country stipulates 14 years in prison or death by stoning for being gay.
