You know you are big when an American city decides to honor you by naming a whole day after you. That is how popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha aka Basketmouth must be feeling right now.
According to the document below, signed by Annice D. Parker, Mayor of the City of Houston, July 17 has been officially declared Basketmouth Day in honour of the highly rated Nigerian comedian. This special recognition is coming on the heels of his contribution in integrating the Nigerian American Community through his art for the past 6 years in the city.
The congressional recognition ceremony will hold on July 18, 2015 same day as his One Man Stand Comedy Concert, Basketmouth Uncensored at the Ayva Center in Houston.
Basketmouth is the first Nigerian comedian to be so honoured.
