Renowned Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim, has come on social media space to counter those who counsel women to remain in relationships with unfaithful partners, this act she considered and stated harmful.
She made mention of this during an interview on a conversation with the debate on women staying still in harmful relationships for financial reasons.
According to Juliet Ibrahim herself who recently came out of an abusive relationship, stated that relationships ought to be built on mutuality, love and respect and that women need not stay in abusive relationships for financial gains.
The actress stated “I firmly believe that advising someone, especially a woman, to stay in a relationship their partner’s infidelity solely for financial benefits is not a healthy or empowering approach. Each person deserves to be in a relationship based on mutual love, trust and respect. Infidelity should not be tolerated or justified based on financial considerations.
Instead, I encourage individuals to prioritise their emotional wellbeing, and make choices that align with their values and self-respect. Every individual deserves to be in a relationship that honours their worth and happiness.”
