The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice has released all Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB members in its detention.
The move by the FG sparked jubilation in Onitsha on Thursday.
Recall that the released IPOB members were arrested by several security agencies in Aba, Abia State in February during a rally conducted by the group.
The release of the IPOB members was confirmed in a statement issued by the group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful.
Emma powerful in his statement issued to newsmen said all the pro-Biafra group members under the leadership of the embattled Nnamdi Kanu commends the Attorney-General of the Federation and all those who contributed to the release of its arrested members.
