According to reports, scouts have been asked to examine former West Brom defender Diego Lugano and Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo, who are both available and have been discussed at the club.
Both players have premier league experience which is essential for the Gunners.
Nothing is certain as the club is still assessing all possible options.
Arsenal fans will be happy to hear that scans done on the right ankle of Jack Wilshere, injured in Germany, revealed no serious damage.
Also, Mathieu Debuchy confirmed he has avoided a broken ankle.
