Minister of Information, Mr. Lai Mohammed has revealed that former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration spent a total of N2bn for the repair of a leaky roof at the National Theatre.
Lai Mohammed made this revelation during a courtesy visit to Prof. Wole Soyinka in his office at the Freedom Park in Lagos.
He said the poor state of building shows that the past administration didn’t spend that amount.
He explained that the Federal Government was planning to initiate a Public-Private Partnership that would help transform the theatre to become the pride of the nation.
Soyinka who also spoke during the visit said Buhari’s anti-corruption war will be a tough one because corruption always fights back in the country.
