The members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who served as ministers between 1999 and 2015, have lauded former President Goodluck Jonathan for the sacrifices he made for the country.
According to the ex-ministers under the umbrella of the PDP Ministers’ Forum, Goodluck Jonathan made enormous sacrifices to ensure Nigeria stays as one.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, the Chairman, Alhaji Tanimu Turaki, during a visit to Jonathan in Abuja, Monday, noted that Nigerians are beginning to appreciate Jonathan’s effort while he was still president.
“Nigerians are beginning to appreciate the efforts you made in moving this country forward,” Alhaji Tanimu Turaki, said.
“Nigerians are still getting more aware of the enormous sacrifice you made to ensure that Nigeria remained together as one indivisible and indissoluble nation.”
On his part, Goodluck Jonathan called on them to ensure that they look at things that unite rather than separate the country.
“We,” Jonathan said, “should begin to reduce the cleavages and fault lines and form a political body that will look at things with national interest.”
