Jonathan,PDP Plunged Nigeria into Economic Crisis – Ameachi

2 Min Read

Rivers State Governor and Director-General of the All Progressives Congress’ Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has accused President Goodluck Jonathan and Peoples Democratic Party of plunging Nigeria into economic crisis.

Ameachi said that the PDP led government has spent all the nation’s monetary resources on campaigns that is why the federal government has run out of money to pay for fuel.

Ameachi who spoke during the ward-to-ward campaign organised by the APC in Abonema, Akuku-Toru Local Government Area said “Because they have stolen all the money; there is no money to steal anymore. So, they can’t even pay for fuel. The remaining money, they have stolen for campaign. So, your suffering has just started.

“When we were meeting in Abuja, we were planning on what to do about the election. We said God will deliver this election for us. Now, how many of us know how much dollar cost now? It is N225; I am predicting that before March 28, it will be N265 per dollar.”

Meanwhile Wife of President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience, has urged Nigerians to vote for her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan because he is young and his brain is alive.

The President’s wife, who spoke in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital during the Peoples Democratic Party’s women campaign rally on Tuesday said “Vote for my husband, Jonathan. Do not vote for Buhari. He is an old man. People when they become old may not reason well and their brain may even be dead.”

Mrs Jonathan noted that the Jonathan administration has empowered women, she said “This administration identified and reckoned with women. Women were empowered; they were given opportunities to serve the nation and they performed creditably well to the admiration of the people.”
