Senator Bola Tinubu, All Progressives Congress national leader and former Governor of Lagos State has said that if President Goodluck Jonathan doesn’t know the devastation going on in the North-East, he should quit and go home because he has failed Nigerians.
Tinubu while addressing supporters during the commencement of the APC governorship campaign at the Trade Fair Complex, Sokoto, said “Let me respond to what Jonathan said in Lagos. Jonathan got angry after admitting his failure. It is Jonathan who failed Nigerians and not our generation because if a man does not know the responsibilities of an office, let him quit.
“He was busy talking about what happened 30 years ago, he said no single rifle was bought by Buhari 30 years ago but if it is only one rifle that we need to defeat Boko Haram, let him reverse our budget.
“Buhari fought gallantly in the past and we believe that we should bring him back to fight for us. If Jonathan doesn’t know the devastation going on in the North-east, then he should quit and go home.
“But if he refuses to quit, I pledge to you that with the broom in our hands and God on our side, we will sweep the failures of PDP. We will win in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Abuja, Kaduna, Sokoto and all over the country.”
