US President-elect, Joe Biden has suffered a domestic injury during what should be a routine exercise – playing with his dog.
The 78-year-old was playing with the dog Major on Saturday when he slipped and twisted his ankle, requiring a visit to the doctor.
Biden is set to see an orthopaedist, in a move his staff described as being “out of the abundance of caution”.
The president-elect and his wife Jill have two German shepherds, one of which is Major.
The dog will be the first rescue dog to live in the White House after Biden’s inauguration on January 20, 2021, Fox News reported.
