Former Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Dr Joe Abah, has condemned a remark by Bayo Onanugua, a spokesman of President-elect Bola Tinubu, warning Igbo people against interfering in Lagos politics.
Onanuga, who is the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, said this in a tweet.
“Let 2023 be the last time of Igbo interference in Lagos politics. Let there be no repeat in 2027. Lagos is like Anambra, Imo, any Nigerian state. It is not No Man’s Land, not Federal Capital Territory. It is Yoruba land. Mind your business,” the journalist-cum-politician tweeted.

Quoting Onanuga’s tweet, Abah, who is an Igbo man from Ebonyi State, said, “This is disgraceful and dangerous ethnic profiling.
“A 65 year-old man should be calling for peace, unity and a reduction of tension, not fanning the embers of discord.
“I have reported this tweet.”
