Jimmy Odukoya Reveals He Has No Intentions of Quitting Acting Despite Being a Pastor

1 Min Read

In a recent interview with BBC News Pidgin, Jimmy Odukoya, the newly appointed lead pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, affirmed that he will continue pursuing his acting career alongside his pastoral responsibilities.

Following the passing of his father and the church’s founder, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, on August 7, Jimmy was named the new lead pastor and chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Addressing concerns about juggling both roles, Jimmy emphasized that God guides his path, enabling him to balance his acting career and pastoral duties. He shared his journey of initially facing skepticism about being a pastor and actor simultaneously. He mentioned venturing into Nollywood and later Hollywood, highlighting God’s role in navigating his career.

Jimmy emphasized that his calling as a pastor wouldn’t deter him from acting, expressing the belief that one can be a pastor while maintaining a presence in the acting world. He clarified that whether behind the scenes or in front of the camera, acting serves as a medium to impart valuable life lessons.
