Jamaicans love Nollywood – AY

1 Min Read

Popular Nigerian comedian, AY opened up recently on what inspired his upcoming movie, ‘A Trip to Jamaica.’

He told TheNETng: ‘I did a research and discovered that Jamaicans love Nollywood. I usually want to have a blend of different cultures and in my research; I noticed that Jamaicans are big fans of Nollywood movies.

They always want to watch our movies, they even sneak from their offices to watch our movies and so the best way to appreciate them back is to do something within their premise and create an aesthetic balance.

This will make them like Nollywood even more,’ he said.

A Trip to Jamaica, which is a spinoff of his earlier effort 30 Days in Atlanta, is set to be released in a couple of months.

The movie also stars Funke Akindele, Nse Ikpe Etim and other Jamaican actors like Eric Roberts, Paul Campbell and Rebecca Silvera.
