Talent manager Jada Pollock has expressed frustration over being frequently identified as “Wizkid’s baby mama,” a label she feels undermines her professional achievements.
Speaking during an interview with BET UK, Jada, who manages Wizkid and is the mother of his children, highlighted the challenges of balancing her identity as a mother, manager, and entrepreneur.
She recounted a moment when she shared a statement celebrating Afrobeat’s global rise after Wizkid’s Grammy win. According to her, the media trivialized her contributions, focusing instead on her relationship with the superstar.
“When Wizkid won a Grammy, I wrote a statement about how far Afrobeat has come. They published the statement, and the caption was ‘Wizkid baby mama,’” Jada said. “The narrative doesn’t recognize that you’re an entrepreneur and a hardworking businesswoman. I’m not only a mother but also a manager, and I’ve helped build a legacy.”
Jada and Wizkid started dating in 2014 and welcomed their first child, Zion, in 2017. The couple expanded their family in 2022 with the birth of their second son, AJ.
