Entertainment artiste, Iyanya, whose real name is Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, became popular some years ago after emerging winner of the music talent hunt show. “MTN Project Fame”
The musical artiste who has made several chart topping songs and won several awards is known for hit singles like ‘Your Waist’, ‘she can get it’, ‘Kukere’, ‘Flavour’, ‘Mr. Oreo’ among many others.
In a recent interview when asked what he would have loved to change as regards his status, he said, “Fame is fame. I do not think there is anything that should change in this fame.”
On how he reacts to stories being written about him, Iyanya said he does not get bothered about what the media writes about him.
“So if you notice, I am not one of those guys that would hear stuffs they would write about me and I would start writing back. You know why? (Because) I do not really care. They are just doing their job. If I was nobody, nobody would write about me. So it comes with the territory,” he said.
He further said if he had not been doing music, he would have been into governance.
