Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode says he has not dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He stated this in a tweet on Wednesday evening.
Fani-Kayode had been linked to a move away from PDP after he held a meeting with the Chairman of the APC Caretaker Committee, Mai Mala Buni and Chairman of the APC Women and Youth Sensitisation and Mobilisation Committee, Yahaya Bello in Abuja on Monday.
The ex-minister later explained that his meeting with the APC chieftains was for “bridge-building” in the national interest.
However, many were unconvinced about his motive, with presidential aide and APC member, Bashir Ahmad saying he would not be welcome to the party he had denigrated for so long.

Speaking on the controversy generated by the visit, Fani-Kayode wrote on Twitter: “Though we have had meetings across party lines and we are in a season of political consultation I have not left the PDP.”
