Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho has urged the public to disregard reports of his purported arrest.
The rebuttal followed a report by an online news medium (not The Herald) that Igboho was arrested at the Guru Maharaj Ji Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and whisked to Abuja.
Recall that the Department of State Services (DSS) stormed Igboho’s house early Thursday in a bid to arrest him.
However, he escaped the attack in which two people were killed and 13 were arrested and paraded by the secret police.
In a recorded voice message, Igboho said that the report of his arrest was false.
Speaking in Yoruba, Igboho said he remained in his Ibadan, Oyo State home.
“Good evening my fans. I thank you all. My name is Sunday Igboho and today is July 2 , 2021. I have been hearing that they have arrested me at Guru Maharaj Ji. It is a lie. I was not at Guru Maharaj Ji. I am in my house in Ibadan and nobody arrested me,” he said.
