Popular comedian, Buchi has threatened to stop paying child support for his two children, Isede and Salami, months after accusing his estranged wife and her family of abducting the kids.
Buchi said this in a new video he posted to Instagram on Saturday.
In September, the comedian faulted his ex-wife Rukky and her family for allegedly denying him access to his kids.
He wondered how his estranged wife’s parents would have reacted if the same was done to them, especially in light of the time and effort they’d invested in nurturing them.
“You have your kids, allow me access to my kids. Family wen dey repay good with wickedness. I never stopped you from talking to your father,” the stand-up comedian and actor said at the time.
In the latest video, Buchi demanded full access to his children and said he was tired of keeping quiet over his ordeal for the past five years.
He revealed that his ex-wife and her family were asking him to pay $1,300 monthly as child support, which he promised not to pay, noting that they have no legal backing to make such demands.
He expressed disappointment that the family was using his “own blood” (children) as a bargaining chip.
Buchi said he never complained to the family that he could not take care of his children, asking the family to return them to him.
The comedian said he was ready to “go to war” with the family over the matter and would not meet any of their demands.
Buchi and Rukky got married in 2017, but the marriage broke down in 2022 due to allegations bordering on domestic abuse against the wife.
