Oprah Winfrey has come forward to shut down rumours regarding her proposed wedding which has been circulating in the media.
The media mogul took to her social media account on Twitter to write: “6 people who know me well have called today congratulating me or surprised they weren’t invited to my wedding, IT’S NOT TRUE!!”.
The 62-year-old media mogul who had been engaged to her long time partner, Stedman Graham, 65, since 1992 had in 2015 subtly expressed her fear for the greater commitment.
Oprah in 2015 during an interview with TV producer Shonda Rhimes on Soul Sunday had said: “The moment he asked me to marry him I was like, ‘Oh God, now I actually have to get married?'”
She continued: “What I realized is, I don’t want to be married, because I could not have the life that I created for myself. I couldn’t do it.”
