Golden Eaglets wonderkid Victor Osimhen has debunked rumours making the rounds that he has signed a contract with English Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspurs.
UK newspaper Metro had speculated based on information provided by AS that Spurs commenced contract negotiations with the U-17 World Cup goalscoring record holder at the just-concluded Chile 2015 and concluded it just after.
But in an interview on Television Continental’s Sport Centre, Osimhen denied knowledge of such a deal, stating that he was concentrating on his call-up by coach Samson Siasia for the U-23 team.
He said: “I have not signed any contracts with any club, there are many club sides interested in me but I want to just focus on playing well and leave the contract talks to my representatives, I trust them to do a good job.”
“I’m trying to forget about all things concerning my contract and just focus on resuming training with the Under-23 Super Eagles and doing well with them.”
