In February, comedian Debo Adedayo aka Mr Macaroni was arrested and rough-handled by security agents during a protest in Lagos.
Barely four months after, he has joined the ongoing #June12protest at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos.
The protest, which is being held simultaneously in many cities across the nation, is to demand an end to bad governance, insecurity, poverty, high rate of unemployment, among others, organisers say.
The Herald had reported that police fired tear gas to disperse protesters at the Gani Fawehinmi Park earlier in the day.
The protesters however regrouped in front of a state government-approved motor park with placards while chanting “Buhari Must Go” and related slogans.
Addressing reporters, Mr Macaroni said he was not happy that President Muhammadu Buhari, who contested elections four times before emerging president, could be the same person subjecting Nigerians to hardship.
