The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has resurfaced alive in Israel eleven months after he was declared missing.
The IPOB leader had been declared missing by his secessionist group after his home was raided by the military in Umuahia, Abia State in September 2017.
In a new video and video circulating online, the IPOB leader is seen praying on the wall of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem before posing for pictures with IPOB members who accompanied him for prayers.
The IPOB leader who also doubles as the leader of a traditional community has been declared missing as the courts threatened to jail his sureties if they could not produce him in court.
Back in March 29, 2018, Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, had asked Sen. Enyinaya Abaribe, Immanuel El-Shalom and Tochukwu Uchendu to ensure that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu was made available to the court at the next hearing of the suit against him.

Justice Binta Nyako had further added that failure of the sureties to get Mr. Kanu to court might lead to their imprisonment.
The Afaraukwu-Ibeku community in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia had also demanded to know the whereabouts of its traditional ruler, Eze Israel Kanu who disappeared from the community in the aftermath of the 2017 “Operation Python Dance II” in Abia state by men of the Nigeria Army.
The community had declared Kanu missing after the alleged attack on his palace in September 2017.
Addressing newsmen in Umuahia, Chief Emeka Ezebuiro, the President General of Afaraukuwu Ibeku Development Union, had said that the community was still at a loss over the disappearance of their royal father.
Their royal father has however appeared in Israel where he looked hale and hearty as he was full of smiles while taking pictures with his fellow Biafrans.
