Photos from the private wedding of popular Nigerian singer, Davido, and his partner Chioma, also known as Chef Chi, have recently emerged on the internet. Following the tragic loss of their child, Davido disclosed in an interview that he and Chioma had already tied the knot. Although he didn’t provide any specific details about the ceremony, Nigerians generally assumed that Chioma was the lucky bride.
The photos of the wedding that have been circulating online show an incredibly private ceremony with only a few elite guests in attendance. The event appears to have been a combination of a traditional wedding and a legal court marriage.
It seems that Davido has finally fulfilled his promise of an “Assurance” wedding to Chef Chi after he released the hit song in 2019, with Chioma starring as the music video’s leading lady. The song became an instant sensation, and Davido promised that their wedding would have the theme “Assurance2020” right after proposing to Chioma.
Unfortunately, the wedding didn’t take place in 2020 as planned due to the global pandemic and Davido’s busy schedule touring the world for his album “A Better Time.” However, it appears that the couple has finally tied the knot in late 2022 or early 2023, as indicated by the photos that have been released.
