Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock church, has advised his members to have a “Plan B” of leaving Nigeria in case the security situation in the country spirals out of control.
A video currently circulating on social media shows the 58-year-old pastor giving the advice after a State of the Nation address to his congregation on Sunday.
He lamented that successive administrations in Nigeria have failed to tackle the issue of security headlong.
Adefarasin said although he has faith that things would improve in Nigeria, he, however, has a Plan B in case the security situation became critical.
“I bring you greetings from Pastor Ifeanyi (his wife) who is busy taking care of the frontiers of our world and preparing our escape route (laughs).
“If you don’t have a Plan B…I know you have faith but I have faith too and I have a Plan B.
“With technology, I can speak to you from anywhere in the world (laughs).
“Get yourself a Plan B, whether that is an okada to Cameroon or flying boat, or speedboat as we call it, to Seme Border or a whole in the ground, a bunker.
“Get a Plan B, because these people are crazy, the whole bunch of them (exhales heavily).
“And watch the signs because it can happen like this (snaps finger to indicate quickly). God forbid.” Adefarasin told the congregation, which burst into laughter.
