As part of the company’s social responsibility project, Inland Containers Nigeria Limited (ICNL) has made the donation of equipment comprising ultra-modern digital blood pressure testing apparatus worth 1.5 million.
Speaking during the handing over of the donation at the hospital’s conference room, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr Yusuf Isma’il said that as part of the company’s effort in giving back to the community, it deemed it fit to donate the apparatus to the hospital, taking into consideration the important role the hospital has been playing in the healthcare delivery in the state and the country at large.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital management, Director of Nursing, Adamu Abubakar, said that the gesture by ICNL proved that, the general public had now come to understand that not all things should be left to government.
He added that indices have shown that the government alone cannot handle all things adequately and therefore urged other corporate bodies to contribute like ICNL.
The management of the hospital promised to judiciously put the apparatus received into good use in the hospital.
