The first case of Coronavirus has been reported in India. The news was announced by Indian Officials on Thursday after a patient in the southern state of Kerala tested positive.
The student tested positive after Returning from China’s Wuhan university, situated in the city that is the epicentre of the deadly virus.

Addressing a press conference, Kerala health minister KK Shailaja said that 20 samples had been sent for tests out of which one was found to be positive.
Shailaja said: “The patient had returned from China’s Wuhan and is now kept in isolation at General Hospital in Thrissur.”
According to one of the health ministry officials, the patient is stable and is being closely monitored.
A senior Indian government official said bringing Indian nationals from Wuhan, the epicentre of the virus was not the best option due to the risk of infection.
The official added that most of the nationals are students and their parents had forced them to keep an aircraft on standby.
An Official who preferred to be anonymous told News 18 that: “Only those nationals who don’t have the virus will be airlifted, they will be brought into a quarantine facility outside Delhi,”
