The funeral of Canadian singer, René Angélil, who until his death on January 14 was the husband of legendary R&B musician, Celine Dion, took place on Thursday and Friday.
The church service held at the Notre Dame Basilica in Old Montreal, Canada.
The widow, who was married to Angélil for 22 years, was accompanied to the church service by her 14-year-old son René Charles, 5-year-old twin sons, Nelson and Eddy, and grandma Therese, 88.
René Angélil, who was also his wife’s manager, was given a national burial, which is the highest honour a dead non-politician can get in the country.
