President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the Minister of the Interior, Abba Moro to refund the N1,000 application fee, paid reportedly by over 500,000 young Nigerians jostling for less than 5,000 positions at the National Immigration Service.
This comes after the President reportedly met Monday with Moro and the Comptroller General of Immigration, David Paradang over their roles in the shoddy exercise that led to the death of 20 Nigerians.
In a related development, the House of Representatives has summoned Moro even as it investigates the tragic chain of events that transpired last weekend across the Federation.
The House joint Committee on Interior, Labour and Productivity, Public Service Matters, and Justice was mandated to organise an investigative public hearing on the matter, and report back its findings within four weeks.
