Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has shared her disappointment with popular singer David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, citing an encounter where she felt disrespected by the music sensation. Henshaw revealed these sentiments during a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.
In the interview, Kate Henshaw disclosed that her unfavorable opinion of Davido stems from a personal interaction at an event where the singer failed to exchange pleasantries. Despite acknowledging Davido’s significant contributions to the Nigerian music industry and his positive impact, Henshaw emphasized the importance of respect in personal interactions.
“I’m not a fan of Davido. I like his music, but I’m not a fan personally; I don’t know him. I have met him, he didn’t greet. I’m not sorry; I believe he should be respectful,” Henshaw stated during the interview.
Kate Henshaw stressed the significance of personality in building connections with people, expressing her belief that a respectful demeanor can enhance one’s reputation. While acknowledging Davido’s commendable actions, such as donating money received from fans, she maintained that personal interactions matter.
“For me, personality matters and it draws people closer to you. Yes, he has done a lot of good. I saw that time people sent him money and he donated it; that’s so huge. He’s unapologetically Nigerian and he has flown the flag without fear or favor outside of the shores,” she added.
