A man, Omokehinde Folayemi, has appealed to Nigerians for help two days after police in Ketu area of Lagos arrested and detained him over suspected cultism.
The detainee, who emphasised his innocence, made the appeal in a tweet at 6:32 am on Tuesday.
Folayemi explained that he was picked up while leaving Lagos for Edo State on Sunday, March 28.
Although details of the incident remain sketchy as of press time, the young man had tweeted a photo of himself aboard a boat before his Sunday arrest.
He tagged the photo: “On top water now.”
The time stamp on the tweet showed that it was sent at 7:38pm on Sunday.
He quoted the Sunday tweet in his appeal for help on Tuesday.
