Award winning gospel group, Midnight Crew, has denied several rumours of them breaking up, but some fans of the group believe the Midnight Crew are no more together as claimed.
It can now be confirmed by one of the key members of the group, Mike Abdul, who is currently enjoying his solo career.
In a recent television interview, Mike Abdul shared the challenges of his solo career and the inspiration to sing gospel music, despite the pulls of making it on a different level.
“It’s a new place for me. But it’s been worth it. It’s been beautiful. The challenge has been good. I think I have lived up to the challenge,” he said.
Speaking on the pressure of leaving a successful group to pursue a solo career, Mike said, “The pressure? They don’t need to compare me. I compare myself like ‘Does this fit in? From where I am coming from, does it meet up? Is this classic enough to represent?
“One thing I tell myself is ‘Michael, who are you? I tell myself to be that competent person!”
