Explaining in a recent interview about what he looks for in artiste before signing him or her to his Capital Hill record label, label exec and rapper Tobechukwu Melvin Ejiofor aka Illbliss said:
“I don’t sign immediately. I put you on probation which we tried. It’s like a love affair. We check it three months, four months. Loyalty is absolutely key for me. Loyalty meaning when things are not popping you stay grinding. You have to be driven personally. You can’t wait for me because I have my own music to push, and I have my own businesses to expand so I want you to bring back results” said the ‘Powerful’ rapper.
Going further, he also said:
“I sign result oriented artistes, artistes that want to score. You have to do it yourself. You are your first manager; show promoter, your first everything. You can’t wait for the label”
