Abia state government has appealed to the judiciary not to toy with the lives of people in the state because if the Appeal Court’s decision to sack Governor Okezie Ikpeazu stands, the state might be engulfed in anarchy.
The government insisted that the people have enjoyed good governance in the first 200 days of Ikpeazu’s administration.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Abia State Governor, Mr Godwin Adindu, the decision of the appeal court is highhandedly capable of launching the state into anarchy.
Adindu said, “Abia State is not for sale and nobody should trifle with the destiny of the people. All the people involved in this grand conspiracy to cause havoc, anarchy and bloodshed in Abia, should steer clear of the state.”
