As the Abia political crisis continues to take its toll on the state, with various groups affirming their support for Ikpeazu, the embattled Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has vowed not to relinquish his seat.
Ikpeazu yesterday vowed to continue with the mandate handed freely to him by the people of Abia state as against the court’s decision for him to vacate the Governorship position.
Ikpeazu made the disclosure while speaking to a group of Abia state indigenes who paid him a solidarity visit at the Government House, Umuahia.
He further disclosed that he had previously visited his rival, Uche Ogah three times urging him to drop his ambition but to no avail.
Governor Ikpeazu still remains in office despite Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s issuance of a certificate of return to Uche Ogah following the Court’s judgement against Ikpeazu’s emergence.
