Real Madrid long-time goal keeper Iker Casillas has expressed concern over the disagreement of some sections of the club fans over his reinstatement as the club’s first choice.
Casillas admitted to Canal+ that he is ‘hurt’ by being mocked by fans after spending so much time in the club.
The 2012 FIFA World Cup Golden Glove winner recently regained his position as Real Madrid’s first choice goal keeper after he was initially demoted by former coach Jose Mourinho.
The recent development made new signing Keylor Navas drop to second choice and Los Blancos fans showed their disapproval by jeering him after Madrid’s 2-1 defeat to Atletico.
“It hurts to hear whistles. I have been here since I was nine years old, I have done many things with this club and it has
also been a springboard to the national team for me,” he told Canal+
“For me, Madrid is my home, it’s like an Unintentionally whole property but I like my home, I do not imagine my life without Real Madrid.
“I wish I had some experience outside of Madrid, to value Real Madrid more and more.”
