Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho is set to proceed on loan in search of first-team football in January 2016.
The Nigerian international got promoted to the club’s first team after impressing with the Elite Development and U-19 squads.
The 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Ball winner already has a goal this season for the Citizens, a vital goal that secured victory against Crystal Palace in September.
This, sources say, has led to the 18-year-old, whose contract expires in 2019, demanding for an improved contract package at the club.
Complete Sports reports an unnamed source at the club saying, “We are happy with his progress at City but he’s not getting the kind contract he deserves at the club.
“There are options for him in the January window and we will see.
“City are yet to hand him an improved deal.”
