Igwe Credo, the visionary behind the unique Ojapiano sound, has taken legal action against singer Kcee and his brother, E-money, alleging unpaid debts.
In a recent online interview, Igwe Credo revealed that Kcee had not compensated him for the use of his distinctive sound. He recounted that he and his team received a mere N200,000 from Kcee, who had promised to provide them with more substantial compensation but failed to do so.
The situation has garnered significant attention after the video of Credo addressing the matter went viral. In the video, Credo elaborated on how Kcee’s team advised him to create new music and promote himself rather than waiting for financial support from Kcee.
Credo expressed, “What I wanted from KCee was not a financial benefit. I wanted to be popular, hoping that Kcee would assist me in gaining exposure and recognition so that I can promote my music. But instead, Kcee asked me to pay the bloggers despite the fact that I lacked the requisite finances.”
