Igbo Leaders Defy MASSOB’s “Sit At Home” Order

2 Min Read

it would be remembered that the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazurike had instructed the Igbo people all over the world , in protest against the continued killing of the people in some parts of the north to embark on a “sit at home” exercise, but it now seems that his kinsmen have had enough of this because another Igbo group, Igbo Security Organisation has asked the people to ignore the order and go about their lawful businesses.

Mr Ndubuisi Igwekani, aka Agu-Biafra, berated Uwazurike for giving such directive when he (Uwazurike) has long abandoned the Igbo struggle.

Igwekani, who spoke with newsmen in Enugu, stated that MASSOB had no cogent reason to ask Igbo people to sit at home, noting that Uwazuruike had been using the method to sacrifice the lives of innocent Igbo youths by engaging them in confrontation with constituted authorities and enriching himself in the process.

Igwekani lamented that Uwazurike did not consult with any stakeholder in Igboland before engaging “in his wild goose chase,” adding that the MASSOB leader was in the habit of insulting the sensibility of Ndigbo.

“Uwazurike’s people are causing problems at Ontisha. The Governors in South East should call him to order because he is the sole beneficiary of his activities.

“We ask people to go about their normal businesses; the Igbo leaders are already looking at the issues they raised. It was the same Uwazuruike, who initially said that what Boko Haram is doing is good, how did he now turn around to condemn them. We have had enough of Uwazuruike’s insults,” he noted
