ICPC Boss, Nta, Elected Board Member Of IACA

Chairman ICPC, Ekpo Nta

The Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Mr. Ekpo Nta, has made the cut of the newly-elected seven members of the Board of Governors of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) in Vienna, Austria.

The International Anti-Corruption Academy was jointly established by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes, the European Anti-Fraud Office, the Republic of Austria and other stakeholders.

In a statement released on Friday by the ICPC, Nta’s recognition and election plays an important role in showing that the international body recognises the achievements of the ICPC in the ongoing anti-corruption in the country.

In a letter to Nta, who will be representing the African Regional Group during the Assembly of State Parties Conference of the IACA, the IACA’s Dean and Executive Secretary, Martin Kreitner, said: “With the 4th session of the assembly of parties of the International Anti-Corruption Academy, having come to a successful close, I have the pleasure to once again thank you for your valuable contributions during this session and to also formally notify you on your election by the Assembly, upon a proposal by the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to IACA’s Board of Governors.”
