Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has vowed never to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) or become an ally of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He made this known on Sunday while reacting to news reports that former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro and former Osun State Deputy Governor, Sen. Iyiola Omisore had retrieved their international passports, which were previously seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Fani-Kayode, who took to Twitter, said, “I am not surprised that Musiliu Obanikoro and Iyiola Omisore have got their passports back from the EFCC and are now in America.
“I do not blame them for joining the ruling party to avoid persecution.
“Some are strong whilst others are weak. I would rather die than join APC or bow to Buhari.”
He added, “We must stay strong and focused and refuse to be distracted.
“We must enthrone justice, fair play and equal opportunities for every Nigerian regardless of his faith, ethnic nationality or circumstances of birth. Ours is to speak for the weak, the poor, the voiceless and the oppressed.”

Obanikoro had been accused of collecting N4.7 billion from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) under Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
He was said to have given N1.3 billion each out of the said fund to the duo of Omisore and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
Investigation into the funds was said to have caused the EFCC to seize Obanikoro and Omisore’s passports to prevent them from leaving the country.
