“I worry because I like to see the boy playing” – Cristiano Ronaldo speaks about Neymar’s injury woes

Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo

Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo says he harbours no fear whether or not Neymar quits Paris Saint-Germain before the end of the transfer window.

However, he says he is constantly worried about the 27-year-old persistent injuries.

The Brazilian missed the Selecao‘s Copa America 2019 triumph and a great deal of Paris Saint-Germain’s 2018/2019 season due to injuries and Ronaldo, 34, can’t wait for him to overcome the injury and get right back to playing good football.

Asked to comment on Neymar’s plans to quit the Parisien club, the Portuguese star said, “I don’t know. He’s a great player and I get along with him very well. There is a lot of talk about him, for Madrid, Barca, Juve.

“It is the job of the press, because you have to sell papers, but I think Neymar will stay in Paris and, if not, look for where he is happy and where he can express his football.

“I hope he will avoid injuries, because he has had a lot of them and that must worry him.

“I worry because I like to see the boy playing. Regardless of where he plays, [it is important he] takes care of himself and has no injuries. That’s what I want for him.”
