Co-Founder of Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG), Aisha Yesufu has vowed not to link her SIM with her National Identity Number (NIN).
The vocal Yesufu stated this while demanding the removal of Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami.
She expressed willingness to go against the Federal Government’s directive on SIM-NIN integration if it meant her personal details would not be in the hands of a terrorist sympathiser and his cohorts.
Yesufu stated this in a Friday tweet.
“Let me repeat categorically what I have said before.
“I WILL NOT BE LINKING MY NIN to my phone number! I will rather not have a phone line than willingly give my information and have it in the control of a terrorist sympathiser and his cohorts #PantamiMustGo,” she wrote.

For weeks, Nigerians have been calling for the removal of Pantami, who is an Islamic cleric, after it emerged that he sympathised with terror groups – Al-Qaeda and the Taliban – in some of his past preachings.
In one of his comments that became public, he described slain terrorist, Osama Bin Laden as a better Muslim than himself.
However, the presidency backed the minister, saying that he had renounced his past extremist views.
The president accused those against the SIM-NIN integration initiative of fuelling the demand for the minister’s removal.
