Nigerian comedian, singer and actor Helen Paul, also known as Tatafo, had revealed in an interview, how she wasn’t paid for her first gig, which was for Psquare’s song “Story”.
The stand-up comedian who worked as a receptionist at the said time, had been recommended by her boss, Ayo Adeife, who knew her voice range allowed her sound like a child, to Psquare, who had been disappointed by the children they were supposed to record the song with.
When she was informed by her boss that the job wasn’t paying much, she hadn’t cared, as long as she was getting compensated with a drink, she innocently and joyfully did the imitation to Psquare’s “Story”. She said “The guy said you will work in the night, but they are not paying much, I said I don’t care, just buy me minerals, I just liked minerals, if I see minerals that time I’m always so proud”
